Report On Your Help To The People Of Iraq

Orphanage project and iftar donations.

We sent $42,000 to Iraq in the beginning of Ramadan to be distributed to the poor. Following is a status report on the charity and the orphaneage project. Following that is a staus report on the As-salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Dear Sheikh Tosun Bayrak,
First of all, please accept the greetings from Dr. Nizzar, Sheikh Ahmad and the Doctors and staff (from Medical City).
Secondly, we are happy to inform you that we have distributed the 42,000 dollars for the Iraqi people and we already listed their names and addresses, and took some pictures of some beneficiaries. About the orphanage, we started the base and we are hopeful to finish it within the end of this month. We will begin with the walls at the beginning of the coming year, insha Allah. I already informed and asked the Minister of Labour about the papers (that you are building this orphanage) and he promised to give the papers to us next week, insha Allah. I will immediately send it to you with pictures, as soon as I receive them. I also informed them that, insha Allah, you will be sending another amount of money to complete it. Now, the plan is finalized and settled and the total area we want to build is around 3,500 sq. m. for 2 floors and the base. We are discussing with the companies about the labour cost and construction materials we need for the building.
We will inform you of any progress as they come.Jazzakum Allahu Kheiran.

Iraq Youth Center project.

We contributed $15,000 for this project, $5,000 for the construction and $10,000 for the iftar food.

Here is a brief status of the computer training center at Muslim Youth Society (MYS).

  1. The center was established two years ago at very small scale with only 5 computers in a small room in the building of the MYS. Then a donation of $15,000 came from a Muslim organization to Life to expand this center. another quarter of the building was chosen to be renovated in order to accommodate at least 3 rooms. This quarter is shown in the attached picture.
  2. When the Shiekh, May Allah be pleased with him, saw the center and the proposed site he donated $5,000 to expand it more. And therefore the engineer suggested to add another floor to the building. Thus the work took place to renovate the building and build another floor to it. The current center now has three classrooms and an office in the first floor, a large seminar room and room for the janitor in the second floor.
  3. The breakdown of the expansion is as follows
Total cost of the building alone $8,750
Cost for computers, printer & scanner $7,620
Cost of the cooling system $3,600
    Administration & supervision $1,500
    Total Cost $20,470
